OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ACT 1994

 

GENERAL DUTIES OF EMPLOYERS AND SELF-EMPLOYED PERSONS

 

  • It shall be the duty of every employer and every self-employed person to ensure, so far as is practicable, the safety, health and welfare at work of all his employees.

 

  • The provision and maintenance of plant and systems of work that are, so far is practicable, safe and without risk to health.

 

  • The Provision of such information, instruction, training and supervision as in necessary to ensure, so far as is practicable, the safety and health at work of his employees:

 

 

FACTORIES AND MACHINERY ACT 1967

 

Section 25 (Parent Act)

 

  • Regulation 38 (Health, Safety and Welfare).

 

  • Provide and maintain a readily accessible first aid box or cupboard.

 

  • Assign responsibility who be proficient in first aid training if >20 employer.

 

  • First aid room in factory with more than 150 person employed.
